August 3rd is our staff work day within the district. There will be several different things going on that day but the one thing I want you to know is that all teachers will have time to work in their classrooms on this day! Here is a rundown of things to know about August 3rd
All special education instructional assistants will be participating in a Safe Crisis Management district training. You should receive communication from Mrs. Candie Peay or her staff outlining your responsibilities that day. Please let me know if you haven't heard anything yet from CO.
8:00 All employees need to sign-in at the front office.
10:00 Nurse Hendricks will need to meet with at least one teacher from each grade level, all 5th grade teachers and any teacher that has a high needs medical student.
11:00 Lunch will be provided by the PTO (Chipotle) - Cafeteria
During lunch we will distribute this year's school shirt. The cost of the shirt is $10. Cash is the best option here :) If you need to write a check make it out to Print Plus Designs (PPD).
After lunch you are free to work in your rooms.
Back-to-School Night (5:00-7:00pm)
I ask that we wear professional attire for this event.
Parents and guests arriving prior to 5:00 will be asked to wait in the gym. Teachers will be in their rooms
Please have parents sign-in on the Title 1 form as they arrive to your room. Please turn this form into Mr. Brown at the conclusion of the event.
August 4th is Opening Day for our district. Breakfast at Bowling Green Junior High begins at 7:00 a.m and the Opening Day Program for all employees begins at 8:00 a.m. in the auditorium including an introduction of all new employees. Dress is casual: school or district t-shirts encouraged.
After the program concludes we will head back to PG and will meet sometime close to 10:00a.m. Here is the agenda for the day.
