RTI Information

On Thursday a group of teachers, Coach, Counselor, School Psyc., ELL teacher and myself met for a Child Study Team Meeting.  RTI is an area that's really difficult because of many different changes that have taken place from last school year.  Here are outcomes from the discussions for RTI.

  • Students who's iReady diagnostic was <30%-ile on either the reading or math section will be given the diagnostic again beginning next week, September 21st.  Mrs. Siddens, Mr. Dotson, Mrs. Garrett, Mrs. Ford, and Mr. Brown will help administer this diagnostic.  Students with an IEP and <30%-ile will not take the assessment.
  • Students will also be given an AIMSweb reading or math probe beginning the week of September 28th.  Mrs. Siddens, Mr. Dotson, Mrs. Turner, and Mrs. Forbes will administer these assessments.
  • Please know that students may be pulled from your room for a period of time over the next two weeks.
  • Students who then fall in the category of <30%-ile will be placed in RTI.
  • Tier 2 students will be mainly serviced in the classroom by the classroom teacher.  We'll give more details later.
  • Tier 3 students will be monitored by Mrs. Siddens,  Mr. Dotson and Mrs. Turner and may be pulled from the room for necessary interventions.
  • Services for new RTI students will begin after Fall Break.
