So Compicated
On the day of celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr., we continue to be reminded of the complex web that is society. One would be hard pressed not to have heard about the situation in the nation’s capital on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, not far from the MLK monument or from the historic site of Dr. King’s most famous speech. It’s an interesting juxtaposition to what transpired in 1963 versus 2019. In the nearly 57 years since the landmark speech, one thing remains clear: America continues to wrestle the idea of what constitutes an integrated society.
