With the passing of President George H.W. Bush it has been educational to listen to people speak about his legacy; a time period no less formidable, yet much more hospitable. In an interview with his granddaughter, she asked him about his legacy and I thought his answer was brilliant: “I've kind of banned the use of the ‘I’ word, legacy word. I think history will get it right, point out the things I did wrong and perhaps some of the things we did right.” The pronouns I and WE speak volumes. Success is a WE effort.
I thank each of you for creating a WE that means something special. In a token of appreciation we’ll have the staff luncheon on Friday (details to come).
