Happy Monday-ing!!

Potter Gray’s Aspirations:
  1. To maintain a school atmosphere conducive to learning.
  2. To challenge students to achieve their maximum potential in each subject.
  3. To determine the basic skills achievement level of each child.
  4. To equip students with skills and background necessary to negotiate higher course of study.
  5. To encourage and nurture the development of creativity, self-expression, and a sense of dignity.
  6. To involve parents, students, and teachers in a cooperative effort.
  7. To communicate with the community as a whole through the PTO, school newsletters, handbooks, local media, and social media.
  8. To support the goals of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Bowling Green City Schools.

As we entered the first three days, I had no reservations about the type of reception our students would receive.  You all are amazing, caring, loving individuals.  Our students are truly fortunate in this regard.  Over the next several Sundays I will focus on the Aspirations above, as outlined in our Carebook.  This week #1, next #2 and so forth.

Every first day will bring frustrations, inevitable.  But the bumps experienced were handled collectively and by Friday much improved!  My evidence supporting #1 comes from the wonderful catalogue of pictures captured by Mrs. Littlefield.  Every part of the building is represented and the faces are priceless.  I hope you have taken the time to see what joy you bring to our childrens' faces!

Happy Monday-ing!
